The Church of the Nazarene is a Great Commission church, and at Logansport First, we strive to be the hands and feet of God through missions. Once a month, Linda leads a Sunday evening service highlighting the missionary work of the Church of the Nazarene around the world.
"We raise awareness of the missionary service and opportunities to serve. Our goal is to share Jesus Christ with as many as possible through compassionate ministries, and to educate anyone with a mission's interest."
There is no age limit to be involved in missions-- Clifford Frye and Julie Ropp incorporate age-appropriate mission lessons in both the children's ministries and the youth group.
"When it comes to missions, another good quality about our church is praying and giving--because of this, we are a Mission Priority One church."
Activities & Events Hosted
NMI Objective #1: Prayer
"To encourage people to pray for all efforts of world evangelism... interceding for leaders and churches and for the Holy Spirit to draw all people to Christ."
NMI gathers believers together for prayer in the local church, linking us to our brothers and sisters in Christ across the globe. And through special focuses, we unite with others in crying out to our Father, praying that He would shatter the barriers separating millions from His kingdom.--Nazarene Missions International

NMI Objective #2: Discipling
"Mobilizing the church in missions."
NMI is growing and changing. We are currently on better ways and resources to help Mobilize the church in missions.--Nazarene Missions International

NMI Objective #4: Educating
"To inform people of the world's need and what the church is doing to meet those needs...to challenge children and youth to learn about and participate in the mission of the church."
NMI is committed to helping local churches tell the mission story. We provide resources and support for the local church as it informs and educate its members, not only in what other Nazarenes are doing in mission, but how they can get involved, too.--Nazarene Missions International

NMI Objective #3: Giving
"To raise funds for missions outreach...giving generously in order to expand the kingdom of Christ."
In 159 world areas, Nazarenes' passion for mission compels them to give in all kinds of way: volunteering time, praying for all people to know Christ, generously sharing resources, and passing on the stories of the church, to name a few.
One simple and essential way to express mission passion is financial support. NMI has designed a bunch of opportunities to support mission workers and meet human needs around the world through resource sharing.--Nazarene Missions International
